Amidst the mists of the past and the uncertainties of the present, the ecological resilience of a family of fishermen from the Sacca di Scardovari is revealed. The voice confesses to a decades-long deafness to the cries of the earth, and now the home is at risk of collapse. In the limbo of this cruel time, is it possible to rediscover harmony? The film invites viewers to lose themselves in the gaze of the Delta, to decipher its mysteries, and to question humanity's fragile place in this treasure trove of life.

Ottilie Moore’s Protégé Charlotte Salomon (United States) by Dana Plays

Charlotte Salomon embarked on the creation of widely eccentric artistic endeavor to save her own life after learning she was the sole survivor of her maternal line all of whom committed suicide. That endeavor was Life? or Theater?  – an epic autobiographical work of art created by German-Jewish artist Charlotte Salomon between 1940 and 1942 while in hiding in the South of France, consisting of over 1300 gouache paintings, of which 769 were selected accompanied by text overlays and musical annotations, which narrate her life story, family tragedies, and experiences in Nazi Germany.

Darlings of Fortune (Austria) by Melike Yağız-Baxant

The German word "Glück"  can be translated as luck, happiness and fortune. But are they synonymous? Do we really need luck to be happy? Is fortune something we find or something we create? Is happiness sufficient by itself? These questions are handled by a group of teenagers of the Sir Karl Popper Middle School in Vienna while attending a theatre workshop. On stage, they get play out their questions about a happy life while navigating their own set of social obstacles, fears and future uncertainties. Mixing documentary and performing arts, "Glückskinder" invites the spectator to inhabit this space between fiction and biography, and witness the potential that art has in building community and giving singular answers to universal questions.
